Marsfield Dentist FAQs

The cost of a dental check-up and clean depends on whether X-rays are needed and your level of health fund cover. We offer on-the-spot health fund claiming through HICAPS, so you only pay the gap.

Most people visit every six to twelve months, but your dentist will recommend the right interval for you. It depends on your gum health and your risk of decay. People with gum disease may need to come in more often.

Yes, we are open on Saturdays from 9am to 4pm. On weekdays, we are open from 9am to 6pm, and we are closed on Sundays.

We accept all health funds. We are also BUPA, Medibank Private, NIB and CBHS network providers. We also accept NSW Oral Health Fee For Service Vouchers.

Yes, we claim on your health fund through HICAPS at the desk, so you only pay the gap. We are a network practice for Bupa, Medibank Private, NIB and CBHS. Bring your health fund card to every visit.

Your first appointment includes an examination and a conversation with your dentist. The dentist checks your teeth and gums, takes X-rays only if needed, and explains the findings and costs before any treatment. Read more about what happens at your first visit.

Call us on (02) 9887 1961 during opening hours, and we will try to see you that day. If a tooth is knocked out, keep it moist in milk and seek dental care immediately. Outside opening hours, go to a hospital emergency department for severe swelling or trauma. Read more about dental emergencies.

We recommend scheduling your child’s first dental visit when their first tooth appears or by their first birthday. The first visit is usually short and gentle. The dentist checks for early signs of decay, assesses dental development and shows you how to care for your child’s teeth. Starting early helps children feel comfortable visiting the dentist.
